Our History:
Beverly Misgalla has been instilling the spirit of dance in her students since she founded Miss Beverly's School of Dance in 1964. Miss Beverly, who has nearly 50 years of dance education and experience, has studied with leading teachers and performers in the US, Canada and Europe. She has also taught as a guest instructor at studios in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, London and Luxembourg.
Certified to teach by exam through Dance Masters of America and Dance Masters of Pennsylvania Chapter 10, Miss Beverly is also qualified to teach the Cecchetti method of Ballet. In addition, she continues to study at conventions, workshops and seminars.
Miss Beverly's School of Dance not only offers professional, experienced instruction, with a focus on each child and emphasis on technique in a fun friendly environment, but encourages each child to reach their full potential. Confidence, poise and self esteem are just a few of the qualities your child will develop at Miss Beverly's which they can take with them throughout their lives.

Beverly Misgalla is dedicated to inspiring students of all skill levels and ages. Throughout her 50 years of teaching she has studied with some of the finest teachers and performers from the US, Canada and Europe and has taught internationally. Miss Beverly is a member of Dance Masters of America, Pennsylvania Chapter 10. In addition she is certified in the Cechetti method of Ballet.
ERIK CAVANAUGH (Contemporary & Drop In classes)
Erik Cavanaugh born and raised in Pittsburgh attended Slippery Rock University where he majored in dance. Following college Erik went on to audition and make it on to season 11 of America’s Got Talent. Since his time on AGT Erik has went on to star in two music videos, a Dodge Ram commercial, an AXE body spray campaign, as well as being published in both Dance Magazine and Oprah Magazine. He is known for his viral videos where he is challenging the traditional “dancers body”, his videos have been viewed over 100 million times across various social media platforms getting praise from artists such as Fergie, Ashton Kutcher, Jennifer Garner, and more.
